I am not really sure if made up words are great to present to a toddler that has a 20 word max vocabulary, but my little one sure loves this book. I guess she even recognizes at a very young age that it is pretty amusing. It is one of her favorite books right now. I am a huge fan of the board book version because she takes this to bed with her & it has bite marks all over it & still functions well!

Love This Book!

This was always my favorite when I was a kid. I remember sitting in my cool playroom in our then unfinished basement reading this over and over and wishing some of those Gellars were in my basement. Or wishing I had a Noothgrush on my toothbrush. My daughter has a Dr. Seuss stuffy from this book and we read it together all the time.

Not the same book. It's missing pages, and the words are different. My favorite scary part as a child was the Vug under the rug. It's gone. Sending this back.

CHI is a wonderful resource for using cannabis as part of a complete mind-body medicine approach to health. It is clearly written and extremely accessible. Readers receive an easily digestible summary of medical research on the effects of therapeutic cannabis use on various health issues as well as helpful/practical suggestions for self-inquiry, dietary modifications, affirmations and other complementary healing remedies for addressing the root as well as the symptoms of their illnesses. This is a timeless book (thick too) with vital and practical information about my chronic stuff and their possible mental-emotional underpinnings. I had almost resigned to forever paying for and managing my symptoms with pills. Then I found this and I have read and read again the sections that apply to me. I tried some of the things the author covers and as a result fees less stuck or hopeless but instead empowered. That alone was worth learning about.

I' am absolutely spell bound by all of his wonderful Land of Story creations

I'm a 50 year old Retired Air Force women who has been a fan of Chis Colfer since his days on Glee as Kurt Hummel. I' am absolutely spell bound by all of his wonderful Land of Story creations. They are such a fresh take of our beloved fairy tells that at times I find myself laughing out loud reading them, and other times turning the pages in anticipation of what is to come next. Chris is an absolute genius the way he ties in modern day problems with the old time tales that makes it fresh and fun for all ages to enjoy. The only draw back with these stories...the next book does not come out fast enough! I can't wait for book 5 and beyond! Please keep the train rolling with the movie options for this series, because I will be there along with all of your other adoring fans!

"Someday you will be old enough to start reading Fairy Tales again"

My students and I absolutely love these books. I work with kids ranging from 2nd to 7th grade and most of them either have reading based disabilities or are simply behind in their reading. These are kids who as a whole, don't like to read, and I have been trying to find books and book series that will grab their attention and make them enjoy reading. My kids all love the Land of Stories books, and are so excited when I get a new one in the series. They are written at about a 5th grade reading level so they are above where my younger kids should be at and a little below where my older kids should be. I read them aloud with the kids and we take turns. They read until they get stuck, or struggle and then I take over for a bit. They have been great for strengthening reading skills, broadening vocabulary and sparking imagination. Chris Colfer has done a remarkable job and I would recommend this series to anyone, old or young.

Colfer Has a True Gift for Storytelling

The only other series I can remember being this excited about is the Harry Potter series. Chris Colfer jumped in full-force with “The Land of Stories” novels, and his stories have stolen my heart.

“The Land of Stories” is a world full of magic and excitement. We get to spend time with our favorite fairytale characters – but we get to know them on an entirely new level. And new characters that Colfer introduced to us instantly become our best friends. I look forward to reading and spending time with Alex and Conner – and you’ll never find a character more uniquely wonderful than Froggy.

Whenever I begin reading these books, I am instantly pulled in, and it takes every bit of strength within me to set them down. I find myself staying up reading well past the point of exhaustion merely so I don’t have to leave this magical world. Each chapter leaves me wanting more, and each story has ended with such an intense cliffhanger that my jaw literally drops every time. Now that I’ve been part of this world, I daresay I never want to leave it. It is so easy to understand how Alex and Conner feel about this world, about their adventures. Because when I read these stories I get to become part of this world and experience these adventures alongside them. And they are some of the greatest moments of my life.

Chris Colfer has a true gift for writing. We know from watching him on Glee that he can sing and dance and act, but I believe that his role on Glee was just a small part of helping him reach his greater purpose. Colfer was put on this Earth to inspire us. Through his bravery, his kindness, and his amazing ability to tell a story, he has done just that.

I will keep reading these books as long as he keeps writing them. And I highly recommend you do the same.

Good book, awesome extras in the e-book with the code (if not already scratched off if you buy it used)

This is a must have book for your Maternal-Newborn nursing class. The chapters are broken down and detailed very well for the topic it is covering. There are tons of charts and bullet points that simplify the material. I bought this book used, came in very good condition. BONUS: The e-code on the inside cover had not been scratched off yet, so I set up the online account for the e-material. It has full a full e-book and audio playback for every chapter, there are tons of practice questions for each chapter, there are videos and animations to help you with the material. There are also flash cards which are very helpful as maternal-newborn nursing is different from other nursing classes, it has it's own terminology which does take some getting use to, these flash cards help learn the vocabulary/terms. Overall a good buy.

It's a pretty good book just like all the other nursing books

I needed this book for my nursing program. I rented on amazon and I saved a lot of money. It's a pretty good book just like all the other nursing books. OB is not really for me so I am just trying to pass the class. The chapter summary and the quizzes at the end of the chapters definitely helped me on the tests in class. If your nursing program uses this book , I think you should rent it from amazon!

I loved this book. I came into nursing to become an L&D nurse. This book is such an easy read with great charts and its very explanatory when it comes to difficult concepts. The "critical components" within the chapters are very helpful and were def concepts our teacher used on the exams. Overall my favorite book in nursing. It wasn't a crazy bulky book like my med surg book and it was user friendly! Good luck nursing students!

About the Author
Thomas Easley is coauthor of Modern Herbal Medicine and founder of the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine. He is a clinical herbalist and professional member of the American Herbalists Guild. Easley integrates modern science and the deep and rich tradition of Western herbalism into a unified and systematic approach to health and healing. Easley emphasizes foods as primary medicine and uses intensive diets as well as stress reduction techniques, nutritional supplements, and exercise to help people achieve their health goals. His approach draws on his extensive clinical experience, which spans 14 years of full-time practice and over 10,000 clients.

Steven Horne is a professional member and former president of the American Herbalists Guild and a professional member of the International Iridology Practitioner's Association, having also served on the board of directors of both organizations. He has spoken at numerous conventions and conferences and has helped to start four different herbal companies, giving him extensive practical experience in formulating and manufacturing herbal extracts.
