Continuous Insights and overall an Inspiring book.

I found this to be much more practical than the first book. Both books I liked. This one, I found myself highlighting several sentences and phrases, and kinda had several "Aha" Moments, as I was reading. She does ruthlessly throw-in witty one-liners and quotations. They are kind of hit-or-miss, overall. Some are absolutely hilarious, some are not entirely funny. Many references to people, events, that chances are, you will not know the meaning of, unless you are late-fourties to early 50's. If that is the case for you, you will probably have a constant smile on your face, as you reminisce of the fond memories that it invokes. If you are Not in that particular age range, it may turn you off. You may find yourself constantly looking-up what she is referencing, and Still not find it very amusing if you are not in her age range, and didn't grow up with those particular experiences. Like I said, the jokes are hit-or-miss, but everything is thrown in but the kitchen sink, and some of them are quite hilarious. Beyond that, the tidbits of Insights are really invaluable & priceless, and well worth the cost of the book. It will certainly have you Charged-up, and ready to take on the world.

Amazingly Awesome (to quote Pam Grout)!!!

This - along with E2 - is one of my very favorite books. Pam Grout has a way of making "manifesting" and "living intentionally" easier and more fun than anyone else. I have long believed that my thoughts create my reality, and I have read many wonderful books on the subject. But Pam puts her fresh and silly spin on these concepts, which truly makes life more fun, joyous and magical. I use the concepts (in both E2 and E3, they are framed as experiments) daily, and whenever I start taking life too seriously, I pick up one of the books and re-read it. I subscribe to her blog, which brings more joy to my in-box on a regular basis. And now, her new book, (I pre-ordered it) Thank and Grow Rich, takes it to a new level. All about gratitude, which I know for sure delivers riches of every kind. I have read 61 pages, so far, and have skimmed through further pages and I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK! I am just getting to the party games, which is where that magic really happens, and I cannot wait to dive in head first!
Do yourself a favor. Tune into what Pam calls the "joy channel", upgrade your frequency, and allow life to be more fun. Get all three books and have a blast with life!

Stick With E2. E3 is Repetitive and Disappointing.

I loved E2 and we read a chapter a week in my small book club of four and discussed our experiences. It was fascinating, fun and enlightening so we decided to move on with E3.
Unfortunately this book is far too similar to the first and even repeats experiments. Most the exercises took longer than the previous book, so there wasn't an easy time frame to work with. Some experiments we even found ridiculous and ultimately we all completely lost interest and never finished the book.
I find Pam's writing to be funny and entertaining but in E3 she tries too hard. The humor is forced and excessive and while I consider myself fairly hip I didn't even know who all she was referring to. It got frustrating.
My recommendation is to read E2 and do the exercises and leave it at that.
